Semantics for Cultural Heritage

In close cooperation with the cultural heritage sector (ABM utvikling) in Norway, ESIS Norge has investigated trends, visions and actual developments on digitalisation of cultural heritage in Europe. The report not only takes a tour through existing national solutions, but also has a look at Best-of-Breed solutions in other European countries, including the vision on a European scale by the EU commission. The report is now published by ABM utvikling and you can download report #66 here.

Semantic technologies on an electric motorcycle

Probably not the first thing you think about, but ESIS Norge works with the technologies of the future and investigates how and where we would like to adapt semantics in our everyday life! Our current motorcycles features a fully integrated pico-itx based Linux server which is always online. Being part of the Semantic Sensor Web, it annotates the surroundings while you ride along. It also offers a number of services for your convenience and special needs when driving electric. Expect the future just around the corner! This project is executed in partnership with Oslo University and Telenor Objects.
